ConstructionOnline™ Expands Invoicing Capabilities with New Options for Bills, Expenses, and Receipts

ConstructionOnline, the industry’s leading platform for construction project management, is excited to announce a powerful expansion to its already robust Invoicing feature. Users can now create construction invoices directly from Bills, Expenses, and Receipts—unlocking new levels of flexibility, efficiency, and accuracy in managing project financials.

What's New for Construction Invoicing

With this latest update, construction professionals gain greater control over billing workflows by seamlessly converting cost records into client-ready invoices. Key enhancements include:

• Billable Status Field: A new “Billable” option has been added to line items on Bills, Expenses, and Receipts. Only billable items will available for inclusion in invoices, giving teams full visibility and control over what is eligible for billing.
• Multi-Source Invoicing: Multiple Bills, Expenses, and/or Receipts can be combined into a single construction invoice for faster, more streamlined project billing. 
• Flexible Presentation Options: Billable items can be aggregated into a single line for invoice simplicity or displayed in separate table sections when tied to the same Estimate, Client Selection, or Change Order. 
• Unified Financial Workflows: New options to create construction invoices from Bills, Expenses, and Receipts in ConstructionOnline expand platform-centric financial management, allowing Invoicing to work hand-in-hand with OnCost Purchasing.

These expanded capabilities are available to accounts with subscriptions that include OnCost™ Purchasing, which provides access to Purchase Orders, Bills, Expenses, Receipts, and Payments. To maintain data integrity and ensure platform consistency, Company Users must hold the following permissions to create invoices from Bills, Expenses, and/or Receipts:

• Invoicing: "Can Create, Edit, & Delete"
• Purchase Orders, Bills, & Payments: "Can Create & Edit"
• Expenses & Receipts: "Can Create & Edit"
