UDA Technologies recently announced the release of a notable update for ConstructionOnline™ Mobile, the mobile app companion to UDA’s top-rated construction management software - ConstructionOnline. Version 5.0 of ConstructionOnline Mobile impresses with a brand-new design, streamlined user interface, refined error responses, improved performance, enhanced animations, and lightning-fast speed. 

Version 5.0 of CO™ Mobile is readily available for download on Android devices running Android 8+ and Apple devices running iOS13+. Current installations of CO™ Mobile should be automatically prompted to update.  

Updates included in the latest version impact navigation, ease of use, notifications, and app customization options, as well as individual feature views and functions.

Key highlights of ConstructionOnline Mobile (Version 5.0) - 

NAVIGATION

• Added option allowing users to pull-to-refresh app content from the home screen
• New Feature Settings, which allow for users to easily customize the features that are displayed on the app home screen and rearrange the order in which they are displayed
• New Favorite Features  which gives users the ability to star “favorite” features for inclusion in a condensed list at the top of the app home screen for convenient access.
• New Greeting Message that automatically populates with current date information and a weather icon to indicate current weather conditions.
  • Populates on the app home screen, based on user location
  • Populates on individual Project Overview screen, based on project location
• Updated Left Sidebar with new & improved options -
  • Uploads: New view that allows users to track the status of current, pending and failed uploads in the app.
  • Profile: New menu that gives users access to edit their Contact Details, including the Profile Picture, Message Signature, Saved Signature, Password, and more.
  • Account Details: New panel that provides ConstructionOnline Company Users with details regarding their current ConstructionOnline Company Account and associated subscription.
  • Contact Support: Updated action menu that offers users 3 convenient options for contacting UDA Technical Support - Chat, Email, & Phone.
• Updated standard scrollbar for Projects List to include a new Index Slider. Users can simply tap the scrollbar to open the Index Slider which enables users to navigate the Projects List using an alphanumeric (A-Z) index.
• New Edge to Edge Display, so that CO™ Mobile now displays in full-screen, behind system notches, navigation bars, and more for a more seamless user experience on all devices.
• Updated app layouts to improve responsiveness and accessibility across all screens in instances of changes to device orientation. 

NOTIFICATIONS

• Notifications fully upgraded across the mobile app
  • New Notification Badges are now project-specific and display for the associated feature with greater accuracy when drilled into an individual Project in the app
  • Enhanced Project Selector displays count of Notifications when selecting a Project to access within a specific feature
  • iOS: Improved accuracy of item count displayed on Notification Badge

FILES & PHOTOS

• New Sort Options: Allow for users to choose sorting methods applied to Files & Photos. Selected options will be displayed at the top of the Files & Photos screen, alongside Search & Sort functions.
• Expanded views for Files & Photos that adjust based on users’ device orientation and dimensions.
• Improved speed & performance of app when loading and displaying Files & Photos
• Added the ability for users to download a File from the File Options Menu
• Improved Image Gallery Views -
  • New Image Info Overlay: Info summary displays image name and date added at the bottom of every image. More details can be accessed by tapping the 🛈 icon, including - image size, date taken, created by, and if available, a small map to display where it was taken
  • Added the ability to preview videos in app
  • Added new options to share, download, and/or copy link to any photo or video in app
  • Enhanced zoom functionality when viewing photos and videos
• New Breadcrumb Header added to top of Files & Photos screens, indicating the path of access to current location in the app.
• Streamlined Upload Sequence, so that pertinent upload processes are now handled directly by the application
• Enhanced Attachments view for all features in app:

  • Updated preview function so that previews of all Attachments are now displayed using the improved Image Gallery view

TO DOS

• New To Do Details View that provides easy access to options for marking To Dos Complete or Private and options for uploading Files and Photos
• New Condensed List View for To Dos that offers improved visibility and management
• Convenient option added allowing users to Add Photos from the list view by tapping on the +Camera icon (available for users with appropriate permissions)
• Added support for swipe-to-delete function on To Do cards

DAILY LOGS

• New Logs by Type View which displays log entries by type and tallies a total count for the corresponding date 
• Updated Daily Log cards that support swipe-to-delete function on Daily Log entries, as well as additional Quick Options, such as Edit, Duplicate, and Show More
• New Daily Log Details View that provides easy access to options for editing or duplicating Daily Logs and options for attaching Files and Photos
