ConstructionOnline's Redline Planroom continues to evolve as a central hub for construction plan management. The latest updates bring meaningful new capabilities for how project teams share, manage, and review plan sheets with subcontractors and clients.
From more precise access control to expanded upload and publishing permissions, these updates reflect a broader commitments to making Redline Planroom a fully collaborative workspace for every member of the project team.
Targeted Sheet Sharing for Clients & Subs
Construction teams can now share individual Redline Sheets on a user-level basis for ClientLink™ and/or TeamLink™ Users. Rather than sharing plan sheets with all portal users at once, construction teams can now designate exactly which clients, subcontractors, vendors, or project partners have access to specific sheets, helping ensure that the right information is available to the right people—nothing more, nothing less.
This added flexibility supports a more precise, intentional approach to the distribution of project plans. Empowering more controlled communication while still providing necessary visibility, project managers can operate with greater confidence and efficiency.
New Upload & Publishing Permissions
TeamLink Users can now be granted expanded permission to actively contribute to Redline Planroom, allowing companies to involve trade partners more directly in plan management workflows.
Through updated TeamLink Settings, Company Users can grant additional permissions to Redline for subcontractors, including:
- Upload Documents: TeamLink Users can be authorized to upload new documents directly to Redline Planroom. Includes the ability to complete the upload process and create new plan sets.
- Publish Documents: TeamLink Users with upload access can also be grated permission to publish documents to Redline Planroom. Includes access to the Publish Log where subcontractors can track and manage documents they have uploaded.
- Version Sets: TeamLink Users can be granted access to Version Sets directly within the portal, giving them the ability to create new Version Sets and edit or delete sets they have created.
These additional permissions allow companies to further extend portions of the plan management process to trusted project partners while maintaining full control over permissions and access. This level of collaboration helps to reduce bottlenecks, improve communication, and keep projects moving forward successfully.
Greater Visibility into Plan Revisions
TeamLink and ClientLink Users can now compare Redline Sheet revisions directly from their online portal.
By providing access to revision comparisons, ConstructionOnline makes it easier for external project participants to understand plan changes, identify updates, and stay aligned with current project progress—without needing to request that information from project management. Improving communication and coordination across the entire project team helps to reduce back-and-forth communication and improve transparency on all fronts.
Improved Collaboration & Coordination
Together, these enhancements make Redline Planroom more flexible, collaborative, and accessible for the full project team. Whether sharing plans with owners, coordinating with subcontractors, or managing document revisions across multiple stakeholders, ConstructionOnline ensures that construction teams have confidence and control over how project information is distributed, accessed, and updated.
As ConstructionOnline continues to expand collaboration tools throughout the platform, updates like these help to bridge the gap between internal project management and external project participation by making sure that everyone involved in the project has the information they need to succeed.
