This week, UDA ConstructionOnline announced that access to the ConstructionOnline API is now included in both Business and Enterprise plans for ConstructionOnline. UDA also released new documentation for the ConstructionOnline API, which contains guides for getting started, reference docs, and other instructional resources for developers working with the API.

The ConstructionOnline API offers construction companies the power and flexibility to fully take advantage of the valuable project data within their ConstructionOnline account. Specifically, companies can use the API to generate custom reports & dashboards, automate repetitive tasks, integrate with other software tools, export or manage their data, and more. Eligible companies interested in working with the API should reach out to the ConstructionOnline development team to receive access.

Companies wanting to learn more about the API or how to get started can consult the official ConstructionOnline API documentation. • Who is the ConstructionOnline API for?

• Will API access cost me an additional fee?

API access is included in the cost of Business and Enterprise subscriptions to ConstructionOnline. Companies with Team or lower subscriptions to ConstructionOnline are not eligible for API access.

If you are looking to integrate with a software tool that does not currently have a native integration with ConstructionOnline, the API can be used to implement an integration between your ConstructionOnline data and the software tool. ConstructionOnline currently has built-in integrations with the following platforms: Google Drive, Google Calendar, OneDrive, Outlook Calendar, Dropbox, box, QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Planswift, and CAD imports. Integrations with these platforms require no use of the API.

• What do companies use the API for?

Yes, the ConstructionOnline API has standard rate limits that determine how many requests can be made in a given window of time. The API limits 500 requests per hour, with the rate limit resetting every hour. Additional rate limits for daily, weekly, and monthly use can be found here.
