ConstructionOnline™ recently updated the links included in email notifications for Messages, Transmittals, and Submittals to deliver users directly to the content referenced in the notifications. These updates are the first in a systemwide series planned for ConstructionOnline Notifications, all intended to streamline the user experience by improving access to specific data points directly from notifications.
Based on client feedback, the updated links are modeled after those already in place for ConstructionOnline’s Requests for Information (RFIs). Commonly known as “deep links” in web development, these links are detailed hyperlinks, expertly configured to link directly to an individual piece of content or data point. Now, when users click within an email notification to access a Message, Transmittal, or Submittal, they will be automatically directed to the specific piece of communication in ConstructionOnline. The data point being referenced by the email notification will be opened in the detail view and highlighted in yellow to eliminate confusion and enhance efficiency.
The updated links are applied to all email notifications for Messages, Transmittals, and Submittals, including email notifications sent to ConstructionOnline Company Users, TeamLink™ Users, and ClientLink™ Users. With the additional detail included in the deep links, ConstructionOnline keeps users on the direct path to their data - even in instances where they are prompted to login to the system, and temporarily overrides any filters or applied view preferences that could hinder access or limit visibility.
In the coming weeks, the ConstructionOnline Product Team plans to roll out updates implementing deep links across appropriate ConstructionOnline Notifications in phases.
