UDA Promotes Co-Op Program in partnership with Auburn University’s College of Engineering

Local Auburn Software Company Promotes Cooperative Education Opportunities with Auburn University College of Engineering | Construction Project Management Software Development | UDA ConstructionOnline

UDA Technologies hosted an Open House event on Monday, September 23, at the company’s headquarters in Auburn, Alabama. Intended to promote UDA’s first-class Co-Op Program - in partnership with Auburn University’s College of Engineering - this event was open to engineering students who were interested in learning more about opportunities to Co-Op at an established construction management software company.

The Cooperative Education (Co-Op) Program is a structured plan that balances real-world work experience with collegiate academic requirements with the intention to better prepare students for their future professional careers. Students interested in Auburn’s Co-Op Program work with the Office of Engineering Career Development and Corporate Relations (CDCR) to develop a personalized Work Plan, which outlines 3 alternating semesters of full-time paid employment with semesters of full-time college classroom instruction.

UDA Technologies has been a proud partner of the Auburn University Co-Op Program since the early 2000’s. Although Auburn’s Co-Op Program is open to students in all major programs of study, UDA primarily works with Co-Op participants from the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering in the Computer Engineering, Computer Science, and Software Engineering programs.

UDA Co-Op participants work as part of the ConstructionOnline Software Development Team, where they have the opportunity to get hands-on experience with project management and develop critical skills related to programming, debugging, and software development. Additionally, Co-Op participants work with key members of UDA’s sales, design, and marketing teams, allowing them to gain valuable insight into corporate culture, team communication, and professional project management.

All Co-Op positions are paid employment opportunities, which can often lead to full-time job offers following graduation. UDA uses the Co-Op Program to identify and recruit future employees; in fact, many of the company’s Senior Developers started their path to success at UDA as part of the Co-Op Program years ago.
