ConstructionOnline is excited to announce a new reminder system put in place for its Requests for Information (RFI) Tracking feature. Similar to the reminder systems in place for ConstructionOnline Permit Tracking and Insurance & Certificate Tracking, the new RFI reminder settings offer users two core functions: the ability to manage custom email templates and the ability to set up automated reminders. 

Within the "Email Templates" tab, ConstructionOnline provides three default email templates for RFIs that are Overdue, with a Due Date Upcoming, or Due Today. However, the feature is designed so that companies can create and manage an unlimited number of unique email templates that they wish to associate with their RFIs. Users can customize their RFI email templates using the provided text styling/formatting options, by adding links, and/or by selecting from additional variable functions. Variable functions allow companies to insert the appropriate variables for Contact Name, RFI Number, RFI Subject, Project Name, and/or Due Date—expanding the utility of the email template. Upon being sent, these fields will be replaced with the specific information for the RFI and email recipient.

In addition to managing custom email templates, companies can also set up automatic reminder emails within the "Automated Reminders" tab that will be sent for open or overdue RFIs. Customizable elements for automated reminders include Status, Email Template, Send Type, Frequency, and Duration. Both the email template and automated reminders features can be accessed from the “Reminder Settings” option within the three-dot action menu of the RFIs pane.
